Questions, answered.
What kinds of apps can DemoReady record?
Any web app: SaaS dashboards, internal tools, marketing sites. In the web app, it needs to be reachable from the internet. Over MCP, your AI agent can also record the app running on your own computer, at localhost. If it needs a login, give DemoReady a test account and it signs in for you.
Will it change data in my app?
Yes. Recording runs against the live app, so anything the story creates really gets created. Point it at a staging environment or a demo workspace. Everything typed appears in the video, so use test credentials.
What's the MCP plan?
For developers who work with an AI agent: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or any MCP client whose model can read screenshots. For $4.99 a month you get 10 demos directed by your agent over MCP (or 30 for $9.99): it chooses every click, and DemoReady adds the cursor, captions, voice-over and recording. Demos made in the web app, where DemoReady's own AI does the work, are $4 each on this plan, or included in Pro.
What do I get for $4?
One demo video. Pick or write the story, review the script, and record. If it isn't quite right, edit the script and record it again, up to two more times. Up to 8 scenes, voice-over included, no watermark.
What counts as a demo?
Each new demo you start uses one demo: from your subscription's monthly allowance first, then from any single demos you've bought. Script rewrites and re-records of the same demo are included. If a demo fails before its script is written (for example, the site is unreachable), you get it back.
Which AI model does the work?
We pick for you, on every plan. A top model writes the story ideas and the script, and a fast vision model performs the clicks and typing. We keep both up to date as better models ship.
Can I record an app on localhost?
Yes, over MCP. Add DemoReady to your agent with the demoready-mcp connector and ask for a demo of http://localhost:3000. The connector opens an encrypted, outbound-only connection and shares only the address your agent opened, only with your own recordings, and only until the recording ends. The rest of your computer and network stays unreachable, and nothing gets a public URL.
How do I cancel?
Single demos have nothing to cancel. For a subscription, open Settings → Plan & billing and choose Manage billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and your videos stay in your library.
